Compare and Contrast
After watching The King and I and Uncle Tom's Cabin you should be able to identify some similarities and differences. Comment on one way the movies are alike and one way they are different.
One way the two movies are the same is that they both are history the movies are based on a true story. One way they are different is the two movies happened in different places “The King and I” takes place in Siam and “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” takes place in North America.
One way the two movies are alike is that the people have to obey their master and their king or if they don’t they get punished. One way the two movies are different is that they give women to the king and the kings makes them as his slaves and the master have to buy the slaves.
One way the movies are alike is they both have songs inside of them. One way they are different is that in the movie Uncle Tom‘s Cabin they have slaves and the movie The King and I they don’t have slaves.
In the movie the King and I & Uncle Toms Cabin are different because in Toms Cabin they had black slaves and in the other movie they did not have black slaves. The thing they had in common been that they both had slaves.
The movies The King and I and Uncle Tom’s Cabin are different because the king had twenty wives and Tom had one wife, but the king had 64 kids and Tom had 3 kids. One way they are alike because they both die and they were different characters.
The two of the movies are alike because it was very sad. Another way they are alike because they all talked funny The two of the movies are different because there are no black people. Another way they are different is because in the movie king and I don’t treat people bad.
The movies The King and I and Uncle Tom’s Cabin are different because Tom was a slave King. The two movies are alike is in the end they both die sadly.
One way the two movies are alike is that both main characters die and they are both base on a true story. One way the two movies are different is that they are both in different times.
