The Stamp Act


This is a stamp used during the colonial times. Why did the colonists disagree with the Stamp Act?

    was more determined than ever to find
    a way to collect taxes and to let the colonist Know that they were in char
    ge. town- shend the treasurer of the British Goverment called for a new tax. the Townshend act's were passed
    in 1767.

    the colonist didn't agree with the stamp act because they are already poor,but the king was charging them more money that they don't have.

    The colonists disagreed with the Stamp Act because the King didn't really need to raise the taxes up. The King was not the one who was fighting and dying,"OK" the King did help a little ,but still not very much.Like the colonists say "No taxation without representation", they want to be represented for what they did"I wood".

    The Stamp Act was use to buy things like a paper if you use it to write a letter it has to have a Stamp.

    i think that they didn't agree to the stamp man because it was a way to pay the war back or other wise they would have agreed with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..
