We have learned that the settlers need to be careful about where they build there fort.If you build your fort in the coast you could probably die because we are surrounded by Indians.
ReplyDeleteWe learned that we should have better protection and better food supply.We also learned that where you put your fort matters a lot and you shouldn't look for gold because it is fools gold.Also you should hunt and fish more.Living in Jamestown was tough but thankfully we made it.

ReplyDeleteI learned that is was hard to survive at Jamestown. They had to work hard to keep it clean, look for food, to get fresh water. They always worried about the Indians and the Spanish. the fort and wild animal.And many dieses.

ReplyDeleteAlex H. and Alex L. learned that settlers had to choose the right spot to grow food,hunt for deer,and keep the colonists healthy.We know if we were those colonists we would all have to learn to survive.We also learned that the colonists had to build a strong town,village,or a wooden fort,also you need the right food like corn,wheat,and instead of tobacco you should plant sassafras.That's what we learned.

We learned that the settlers of Jamestown should have planted corn instead of looking for gold. They needed to hunt and fish so they would have had enough food. They shouldn't have built their fort in a marsh.

ReplyDeletewe learned that where Jamestown was not a good place. The land was swampy and there were lots of mosquitoes. They should have planted more foods that they could eat. Trading with the Indians was successful. It was good that they got along.

We learned that hunting and fishing was also a good idea. We were successful because we had many good food supplies and we offered to trade.

ReplyDeleteWe learned that Jamestown was successful. They planted tobacco to sell and traded with the Indians. Life was hard for the settlers. The water was salty and bad for them because they built their fort in a swamp. They should have built their fort somewhere else.
