Do I Have a Right? Learn Your Constitutional Rights
Do I Have a Right? is a game where you get to pretend to be a lawyer. The game helps you learn about Constitutional law (which is pretty important!) I would love to see what you think after you are done playing, so leave a comment letting me know.
I can see this being a homework assignment, actually. Get a group of kids to design a legal case study around a given amendment - then ask other kid-groups to argue the case, return an innocent or guilty verdict; and maybe argue the appeal if the case isn't decided fairly.
Using court cases like that really helps the kids understand the process, and it is fun for them to role play as well. I have seen several classrooms do mock trials and they always had a great time.
