Why We Should Never Drink and Drive
This is a public service announcement that ran on Australian television. The responsibility that we accept when we drive a car is immense. Don't drink and drive.

That is always very important. I makes it dangerous for you and everyone else. My family almost got crashed into because someone was drinking and driving.

It was a very dark and foreboding advertisment the tone of which was set for me by the music. I don't know if its common for this sort of add to run in the USA but we've had advertisments like this running for many years in New Zealand which I would describe as 'highly emotive'. I think its worked, although I couldn't tell exact figures, I think its more aware, or people are aware more personally.

What a very powerful advert. I live in Australia but I had never seen this before. It would be interesting to see the latest figures here in Australia to see whether this type of advert hsa made a difference.
