Why Don't the Numbers Add Up?


This graphic is taken from the Fayette County Groundwater Conservation District

The video The Case of the Mysterious Neighbor by the Missouri Botanical Garden says only one-tenth of one percent is usable water. The above graphic says three-tenths of one percent is usable. Why is there such a big difference?

There is such a big difference because the water is mostly ground and ocean water or water in the air.

in the graphic above people were recycling water in many different ways.

The big difference is that most all percentage of Earths water is polluted. We can help by using less water to save earth's water.

There is a big difference because the less water we use, the less we pollute the water.

Its a big difference because the three-tenths is underground and the one-tenth is lakes,streams. The earth has a lot of water.

we think that there is such a big difference because 0.3% of the water is unusable by humans.All of the other % of Earth's water has bacteria .

There is such a difference because 2 tenths is alot and they are only using 1 tenth.
