Because....why not?
The band Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem may not be well known outside of the muppet circle, but several of the musicians also played in bands you may know. For example, Animal the percussionist played in the band The Animals but unfortunately quit before they hit it big with The House of the Rising Sun. Floyd Pepper, the guitarist, also played in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The strange thing is he wasn't the Sgt. Pepper the band was named for! Dr. Teeth also played in other bands before forming this one.
